Montana

The girls and I went to Montana for our annual spring break visit to my mom and dads. It is so nice to get out of the car and stretch your legs to pick up a geocache along the way. This picture is of a favorite little spot that I definitely want to visit again with my husband on one of our Montana trips.

The next 3 pictures are a favorite for the theme of the cache and the location. It is called Hogwarts and was located in a cool little fishing access place just out side of Missoula. AA pulls the cache out of its tucked away hiding spot. It is well protected from muggle eyes. Notice the Harry Potter stuck to the lid of the cache. MBW poses on a nearby fallen tree so I can take a picture.

These next few pictures are taken in Augusta, MT. My mom went caching with us and these are a couple of my favorite hides. The first 2 are hidden right there at the Rodeo grounds bleachers. It has to be a good hide to hold up to all busy activity during certain times of the year. And it is! It took us a while to find it, even though I had somewhat of an idea of what to look for. It fit very well with the surroundings. The second picture I am putting it back in place.

These 3 pictures are of one of those caches I would never do because of the location, but I do it anyway to claim the find. We had to open and close a gate and walk out into the middle of a field where the animals were grazing, and then I had to get down on my hands and knees and crawl into the center of that bunch of brambly bushes. After I got in there and found it tucked away in it's nice little nesting place, I realized that on the other side there was an easier access. One that mom  was even willing to attempt to come in at least part way so she could sign the log and see the cool little spot where it was located.

Another caching day with mom we went a different direction and covered Bynum and Agawam. I love this picture. This was a really simple cache to find right in Bynum. it was also fun to go down memory lane while we were caching on this day. I grew up in Bynum and mom told me that I was concieved in a house that was right next door to this location. She called it the honeymoon house.
These last 2 pictures are a cache in Agawam. One of those tricky ones, especially since I was looking for a small instead of a micro so I didn't even consider looking on the fence post. But, finally MBW claimed the find by moving that little metal plate and discovering the cache.
