May

Just a few memorable caches from the month of May. This first one is a new one near our home that we got a FTF. It was a little bit of a hike and I'm glad I had my GPS to follow the track back or we might have gotten lost. There weren't good trails to the sight. Near the cache was this cool looking tree that can stir the imagination and seem like a portal to another world.
These next 3 are just random caches around the area. The first is right in the middle of Spokane but it was down in a dip and seemed like you were in your own remote little world. I also liked the tunnel under the roadway that you can see in the background. The middle is a view form one of the caches at Greenbluff. And of course since I like interesting trees so much, I had to take a picture of this tree. It was holding the treasure.
This next set of pictures were all in the area of a cache that we couldn't find in Feb because it was buried under an ice block then. It was a pretty easy find this time. This is not very far from the McDonalds that we always eat at. It was a little bit of a hike, climbing up and down that hill, and walking along the railroad tracks for a ways. But the challenge of the terrain was worth the second trip for the cool spot. MBW spied this frog in the water and had to have a picture. Then of course there is the classic standing by the No Trespassing sign to take a picture.

This next cache is one of my favorites for all the stories in the logs. It is a magnetic nano attached to the one completed bridge in this major road construction area. It is attached in such a way that it very easily gets knocked off and goes flying down into the construction area and then you have to go find it again. Hubby was being careful but still knocked it off and had to go for the second search. It happens so often that there is a geotrail down off the hill to get into the area. The second picture is him celebrating the successful second retrieval.
These last two are of our trip to get hubbys Dizzie Farragut, and a couple others in the area, before meeting up with family for a rainy day of play at Silverwood.
